In early December, 10 ladies met at the Okeene church to craft Mod Podge cookie plates.
Believing in early training, two of the ladies in the group were youngsters, learning by example, about helping others less fortunate and expressing gratitude to those who give of themselves.
After the plates were "cured," 10 cookie plates were made. Three were included in Christmas food baskets distributed by the church's Community Services Department and seven more were given out by the Women's Ministry Department to area service organizations as tokens of appreciation to those serving others year-round in their jobs.
