Addison Perez started the New Year 2023 as a newly baptized member of the Bristow Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was baptized on December 31, 2022, by her former pastor, Pastor James Bokovoy who was assisted by head deaconess Marilyn Ailey. Former Pathfinder leader Andrew Fisher studied the Bible truths with Addison. When June Hurst, Bristow’s Family Ministries coordinator, asked Addison why she decided to be baptized, Addison enthusiastically declared, “Because I love God and I love my church. I have realized that the only way to Him is through being baptized in Jesus Christ."

Addison is an avid reader and studies the word of God. Reading is her favorite hobby. Her favorite church activity is getting together at the church’s Center of Hope, the downtown building owned by the local church. She says, ”We get together for sundown vespers and socials. I love to sing and play games there.”

Bristow’s pastor, Andrew Spooner, shares “We are so excited for and proud of Addison. God has blessed her with a kind, gentle spirit, and so many other qualities. We look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for her the rest of her life and the young woman He is shaping her into.” It is our prayer that she will forever stay in a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, her Lord, and Savior, and serve him throughout her entire life.
