Community Service

This program is all about demonstrating the love of Jesus through compassion and dedication.

The ultimate vision of the Oklahoma Conference Community Services program is to inspire and mobilize our churches to show practical love and support, just like Jesus did.

The Oklahoma Conference Community Services program is working to involve all the churches in various community service activities. By churches assisting each other in particular projects, there will be much accomplished. By working together with local groups and leaders from different areas, the program aims to create a strong network of community service projects that meet the unique needs of each region in Oklahoma. This collaborative approach not only enhances the effectiveness of their efforts but also encourages more people to get involved in meaningful ways. The program emphasizes the importance of good planning and organization to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

One vision is to establish a center in Oklahoma City like the one in Tulsa, which will feature a food pantry, tutoring, and beneficial classes and workshops for the community. In addition, the Community Services program is actively attempting to develop a Disaster Relief team in the Oklahoma Conference.

The ultimate vision of the Oklahoma Conference Community Services program is to inspire and mobilize our churches to show practical love and support, mirroring the actions of Jesus. By demonstrating genuine empathy and offering essential services without judgment, the program hopes to build a more caring and supportive environment for everyone. Through these combined efforts, they envision a future where everyone is motivated to help their neighbors, fostering a sense of togetherness and shared purpose.

Our 2025 Initiative

One of the 2025 Initiatives we have at the Oklahoma Conference is a fundraising effort to help sustain our current Community Service Projects across Oklahoma AND to establish a new Community Service Outreach Center in Oklahoma City.

The cost of operation is $383838383838383 and these funds go to support the Tulsa Community Service Center as well as multiple food banks, vision clinics, tutoring, counseling, countless Mary+Martha Centers, dental clinics, and more. In the past, the Oklahoma Conference has faithfully supported the outreach ministries of local churches, and they plan to continue to support however needed. That being said, we are excited to launch a way for each family to take part in the ministries across Oklahoma and make a difference!

Enter the Every Family, Every Month Initiative. The goal of this campaign is to encourage every family in Oklahoma to commit to donating $10 or more a month as a family to the Oklahoma Conference Community Service Department. With this hands-on approach, we will not only be able to become a self-sustaining department, we'll be able to expand the work that we are doing across Oklahoma!

How to get involved:

Whether you want to make a one-time donation or become a monthly supporter, we have the plan in place for you! Read about all the benefits of donating to the Every Family, Every Month Initiative below.
