The Bible is full of promises where the Lord demonstrates His willingness to open the windows of heaven on our behalf during our time on this earth. What happens though once our time on this earth has come to an end? Have we been wise stewards of the riches God blessed us with during our lifetime? Did we take the time to create a plan for the safekeeping and/or distribution of those assets that remain after we are gone?

Through the Oklahoma Conference Planned Giving and Trust Services Department, we are able to assist our members in creating that plan which will ensure a lasting testament to their wishes regarding the funds God has placed in their care.

Having an estate plan is not just for the wealthy. In this day and age, everyone needs a well thought out “Estate Plan,” especially if you have minor children still living at home. In the absence of a plan, it is possible that some or all of your remaining assets could end up being handed over to the state. This is avoidable. Even a simple plan can help ensure your assets will be distributed according to your desires and wishes.

Our time, our talents, and yes, even our money have been provided by God. The Lord has asked us to be faithful stewards. He even says in 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” (NIV)
