Andrew Spooner
District Pastor
Since 2008, Pastor Andrew Spooner has faithfully served in ministry, touching lives in both New Mexico and Oklahoma. Inspired by the kindness and warmth of his childhood pastor, Andrew felt the call to follow in those footsteps, driven by a desire to engage with and uplift the next generation.
Andrew’s faith journey has been the anchor that has kept him in ministry, guiding him through tests of faith and strengthening his resolve. His favorite verse, Galatians 2:20—“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me”—encapsulates his dedication to living out God’s purpose in his life and ministry.
When he’s not ministering, Andrew enjoys gardening, exercising, and tinkering with auto mechanics, a reflection of his hands-on approach to life. At home, he and his family thrive on laughter and connection, with his kids playfully recognizing their mom as the superstar of the household. With a growing sense of humor and a few eye-rolls as the kids get older, the Spooner household is a place of joy and togetherness.
If Andrew could do anything in ministry, he would lead his congregation in regularly going door-to-door, connecting with their community through prayer, service, and the love of Christ. His belief that pastors often take on too much and should focus more on raising new congregations reflects his vision of empowering church leadership to take an active role in ministry, just as the apostles did in the book of Acts.
Andrew’s love for Mexican food satisfies his taste buds, but salad wins over his conscience! His leadership, rooted in faith, inspires his congregation to step out and engage with the world, bringing hope, prayer, and connection to those they encounter.
