Weatherford Church Blesses A Deacon And DeAconesses

WEATHERFORD, OKLA. — The Weatherford Seventh‑day Adventist Church family gathered for a joyful Sabbath celebration as Carl Johnson was ordained to serve as a deacon. Five new deaconesses were also ordained, Rebecca Johnson, Donna Nicholas, Virgina Howard, Patti Robertson, and Phyllis Hanson. Pastor Barry Smith and Pastor David Miller officiated. The congregation’s head elder Orville Hanson signed the official certificates, marking a meaningful moment of dedication and service within the local church.

Adding to the day’s warmth, the children’s Sabbath School class shared smiles and energy as they studied the story of Caleb and Joshua, the faithful spies who trusted God’s promise.

Their enthusiasm reminded everyone of the importance of courage and faith.

It was a Sabbath filled with gratitude, fellowship, and the joy of seeing both adults and children growing in ministry and in love for the Lord.
