The Oklahoma Conference celebrated a significant year of growth and renewal across its Hispanic churches in 2025, reporting a total of 240 baptisms as a result of coordinated evangelistic efforts and expanded ministry initiatives.

Central to this growth was the launch of the “Commission of the 70,” an initiative that empowered lay members to go out two by two to preach and serve in Hispanic churches throughout Oklahoma. This movement strengthened local congregations, energized small groups, supported church plants, and helped form new companies of believers. In several locations, congregations also completed remodeling projects to better serve their communities.
As a direct outcome of this work, the conference has established three new meeting places and added two full-time Hispanic pastors, expanding pastoral coverage and leadership capacity across the state.
Looking ahead, the Hispanic Ministries department is organizing an evangelistic caravan for the coming year. Through this initiative, all Hispanic pastors will visit each church in the conference, accompanied by a singer, to support local evangelism efforts.
The goal is to ensure that every congregation is visited, to unite pastors around a shared mission, and to foster stronger relationships among church leaders and members.
“We are very happy with the arrival of Edward Bryan, Evangelism and Church Planting Coordinator, who is available as a key support for our pastors and churches,” Prieto said.
Under the current strategic plan, each pastor oversees a two-church district and is tasked with planting a new church, reinforcing the conference’s commitment to continued growth, discipleship, and outreach within Hispanic communities across Oklahoma.
