Community Garden Dedicated in Antlers, Oklahoma

June 6, 2026—The Antlers Seventh‑day Adventist Church celebrated a joyful milestone today with the dedication of its new community garden, a project that has already begun strengthening relationships, building hope, and creating a welcoming space for neighbors to grow together.

Pastor Carlos De La Cruz reports that the dedication service brought together church members, families, and community friends for a morning filled with gratitude, prayer, and vision. Before the sermon, Jenn Duffield shared the story behind the project—how a simple idea to bless the neighborhood grew into a full garden initiative through teamwork, persistence, and a heart for community engagement.

Jenn, who spearheaded the entire effort, stood alongside her husband and grandson in one of the photos—a beautiful reminder that this garden is not just about vegetables and soil, but about legacy, family, and faith taking root. Her leadership reflects the kind of missional service that transforms both churches and communities.

The garden will serve as a place where neighbors can learn, grow, and connect. It represents the church’s commitment to living out the gospel in practical ways—cultivating not only produce, but also friendship, dignity, and hope.

This project stands as a shining example of what can happen when God’s people step forward with vision and a willingness to serve beyond the walls.
