Alfonso & Lesley Orellana to serve as Family Ministry Directors

We are pleased to share that on October 23, 2025, the Oklahoma Conference Executive Committee voted to welcome Alfonso and Lesley Orellana as our new Family Ministries Directors (volunteer position). We praise God for His leading and for Orellana's willingness to serve!

Alfonso and Lesley met during their college years in Guatemala, their home country, and have been happily married for nearly 27 years. They feel richly blessed with their two children—Julie (24) and Daniel (20). In 2000, Alfonso’s job led the family to relocate to the United States through a company transfer working as an engineer and engineering manager. Upon moving to the U.S., Lesley made the decision to leave her thriving IT career in order to dedicate herself full-time to raising their children and supporting their family.

Early in their journey, the entire family was deeply impacted by the ministry of Restoration International. Their involvement grew significantly in 2016 when they began serving as hosts for the National Family Retreat. They have also had the opportunity to share their family’s testimony on 3ABN Latino TV. They recorded over 100 capsules on marriage and family for 3ABN Latino. They have been guest speakers for Family Retreats around the US and in Guatemala.

Today, Lesley serves as the Executive Director of Restoration International, a role she has held for the past five years. Together, Alfonso and Lesley are fully committed to family ministry in their local congregation and in their community.

"I am thrilled to have Alfonso and Lesley’s on our ministries team serving as our new Family Ministries Directors, said Daniel Ortega, President of the Oklahoma Conference.

"Their leadership, experience, and deep commitment to strengthening families will be a tremendous blessing to our churches across Oklahoma. With a proven record of service and a heart for family discipleship, they bring both wisdom and passion to this ministry. We are truly grateful that they have accepted this responsibility, and we look forward to the positive impact their ministry will have on our Oklahoma families."
