Planting a New Church in South Tulsa, Oklahoma
Bixby, Oklahoma—This dream began in 2023, when the initial vision was presented to the board of the Tulsa Central Hispanic Church. On June 1, 2024, ministry activities officially launched in the city of Bixby, Oklahoma, with an initial gathering of 45 people. The group began by renting a worship space for one year and later transitioned to a second location, where it currently meets on Sabbaths and Tuesdays.
Today, the Bixby group offers a full range of ministries, including Adult and Children’s Sabbath School, Divine Worship services, a Youth Program, midweek worship, and both Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs.
On January 3, 2026, after one year and six months of dedicated ministry, the Bixby Spanish group was officially organized as a company of believers. What began with 10 courageous families who accepted the challenge—following a season of prayerful planning in partnership with the Tulsa Central mother church and under the leadership of Pastor Leo Castillo—has now grown significantly. This past Sabbath, more than 70 members signed their commitment, expressing their desire to be part of this new faith community.

We give thanks to God, to the families who make up this company of believers, to the Hispanic Coordinator, Pastor Luis Prieto, and to the administrators of our Conference for helping make this vision a reality. We continue to pray for the next steps ahead: securing a permanent church building and, in God’s time, being organized as a fully established church.
