David Qualls
Lay Pastor
David Qualls is a cherished member of our community, serving as the lay pastor at Three Angels Seventh-day Adventist Church in Owasso since 2004. His journey in ministry is marked by a deep commitment and love for sharing God's message. Before his current role, David served in various positions at First Tulsa Seventh-day Adventist Church from 1996 to 2004, including elder and assistant treasurer. His dedication to education was evident during his time as a full-time academy teacher at Oklahoma Academy from 1992 to 1994. Additionally, he served as the personal ministries director at the Peterborough Seventh-day Adventist Church in New Hampshire from 1991 to 1992.
David's inspiration to become a lay pastor stems from his personal faith journey. Raised in the church, he drifted away during his late teens and twenties. At the age of 29, the Lord drew him back, igniting a deep conviction to live a life fully committed to Christ. In 2004, David was part of a small group that started a new church plant in the Tulsa area, which eventually became an organized company. The following year, they joined with the Owasso Seventh-day Adventist Church—a small, struggling congregation at the time—and were blessed to be part of its revitalization through active evangelism and various outreach ministries.
David's favorite foods are mangos and homemade veggie burgers. His faith journey, marked by God's grace, has given him a profound appreciation for the truths entrusted to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This experience has fueled his passion to study, live out, and share the beautiful message of righteousness by faith. He is convinced that the unique message God has given to the Seventh-day Adventist Church is precisely what the world needs right now—a revelation of the love of Christ. By His grace, David's mission is to live out this message and share it with all who are willing to listen and receive it.
In his free time, David enjoys hiking, birdwatching, and outdoor activities. He loves spending time with his wife, visiting national parks and historic sites, and learning about history. The Bible verse that defines his ministry is 2 Corinthians 3:18, which speaks to the transformative power of beholding the glory of the Lord.
David's vision for ministry is to produce online content, videos, and blogs that cover various aspects of present truth, making it practical for people's lives. His passion is to share the Three Angels' Messages with the community in a way that is both relevant and practical—meeting people where they are. David's dream is to see the church become a living demonstration of God's love, bringing hope and healing to a world filled with hurting people.
David Qualls is a beacon of love and dedication, and his unwavering commitment to Christ and the community is truly inspiring.Â
