Food Service Director


Location: Wewoka Woods Adventist Center (Oklahoma)
Status: Full-time, Exempt (Salary)

​

The Oklahoma Conference is seeking a Food Service Director to oversee food operations at Wewoka Woods Adventist Center. This role is responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals, supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

​

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in institutional or large-scale food service operations

  • Knowledge of menu planning, inventory management, and budgeting

  • Current food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe® or Oklahoma equivalent)

  • Supervisory experience and strong organizational skills

  • A commitment to customer service and teamwork in a camp ministry environment

  • As a religious organization, the Oklahoma Conference requires this position to be held by a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in regular standing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily camp food service operations

  • Plan menus that meet nutritional and dietary needs

  • Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff and volunteers

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant kitchen and dining environment

  • Manage food purchasing, inventory, and equipment maintenance

  • ​

This is a hands-on leadership role that plays an essential part in the mission of Wewoka Woods by supporting campers, staff, and guests with excellent food service.

Camp Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Wewoka Woods Adventist Center 

 

The Oklahoma Conference is seeking a part-time Camp Administrative Assistant to support the Wewoka Woods Adventist Center. This role provides vital administrative support, assists visitors and callers with professionalism, and helps coordinate resources for camp leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • General office duties including phones, scheduling, correspondence, and filing.

  • Assist with managing camp calendar

  • Support Youth Ministries staff in camp planning and activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with office software; social media/website skills preferred.

  • Previous experience in Adventurer or Pathfinder ministries helpful.

  • As a faith-based organization, this position requires membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in regular standing.

 

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Part-time, hourly position (non-exempt).

  • Hours scheduled within regular office operations (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.), with occasional weekend work.

  • Office environment; minimal physical demands.
